George Michael is writing a song called White Light about his near-death battle with illness in a Vienna hospital last year. He was diagnosed with severe pneumonia in November and treated in the Austrian capital where he was taken ill. He was forced to postpone his tour and spent several weeks in hospital, describing his illness as "touch and go". He recently announced last month that he was back in good health and would re-start his postponed "Symphonica" tour in September.


The former Boyzone star and his wife Yvonne, who have three children together, announced their news simultaneously in public on Twitter. Their marriage had broken down at the end of last year, but said they had “kept this news private to give everybody involved time to adjust.” The couple had reportedly attempted to salvage their marriage, spending New Years’ Eve together with their children in Scotland, but the strain of Keating’s affair with backing dancer Francine Cornell proved too much to overcome.


Delta Goodrem, has allowed her fans a sneak peek of her new single Sitting On Top of the World, and the lyrics have already received praise among fans. The song is the lead single from Delta’s fourth studio album, which is due to be released later this year. Goodrem has achieved enormous success and captured the hearts of Australians with her previous releases such as her debut album Innocent Eyes which made her one of Australia’s highest selling female artists and spent 29 weeks at No. 1 selling over a million copies. The 27-year-old songstress is currently a coach on The Voice Australia, alongside Keith Urban, Seal and Joel Madden.
